Pink or Blue? Time to Tell You

22 Feb

So we’ve actually known for more than 4 weeks now, but since baby was still such a tiddler, we wanted to wait a little longer before sharing the news.

Now at 17 weeks and 5 days, and after 2 further confirmations, we can finally bring you in on the secret.

And so it is with much appreciation and delight that we announce we are expecting a healthy baby boy.

Oscar is excited to have a little brother on the way and after the terror and complications of the last 6 weeks, we are ecstatic that our brave little man is still fighting on.

Some may know that I have at times dreamed of having a girl in the household, but right now, after 3 IVF cycles and the loss of my previous child, I have nothing but gratitude for the boys that we have been blessed with. And I feel lucky that one day I will have 3 handsome men as my protectors.

Unfortunately, the unwanted lodger in this pregnancy, the hematoma, remains stubbornly in place and so I will continue to take nothing in this process for granted, but we hope that luck will remain on our side and we will meet our newest little man in July.
