My IVF Diary – 9 weeks pregnant

27 Jun

My retrospective diary of fertility treatment and the time when I was pregnant.

9 weeks: All has been fine over the last week.

After the 8 week scan proved positive, I finally relaxed and purchased some maternity trousers. One pair for work and one pair of jeans for casual. Dead comfy. I’d love to order tons more stuff but just not right now. Not until we hit that 12 week mark.

I’m still eating loads and drinking loads and peeing loads, but have minimal nausea right now. Just a tiny bit if I get too hungry.

4/4/13: Tonight we went for a private scan at an ultra plush Harley Street clinic. After our previous scares at 6 and 7 weeks I just wanted to keep an extra eye on the bean.

Finally, this time I got an abdominal one. Hoorah! I’m so fed up of having things poked up me.

It took the woman just a few seconds to find my bean.

Large as life.

There on 48 inch plasma in front of my eyes was bean.

With no heart beat.

And in just 2 minutes, mine and my husbands world was shattered.
